The Purpose of this Programme is to facilitate the development of vehicle dispatchers, supervisors of vehicle fleets or managers of road transport operations, in the important skills and capabilities of management to increase their effectiveness in meeting organizational objectives, developing themselves and their teams to achieve high levels of personal and professional success.

What are the Benefits of this Programme?
Participants will gain confidence, knowledge and affirmation of their existing industry skills and develop their leadership style and ability in managing a road transport operation.
Successful completion of the programme results in a recognized NZQA National Certificate in Road Transport Management (Operations) (Level 4) that is both recognized and transferable as a career achievement.
The learning and related assignments throughout the programme are very relevant and specific to the participants current work environment and day to day issues faced within the industry.
This programme is also very relevant to those persons seeking promotion within the transport industry.
This process is NZQA accredited and based around seven modules which put together – encompass the relevant unit standards and credit totals required for the National Certificate in Road Transport Management (Operations) (Level 4).
These modules are facilitated over seven one-day sessions held one month apart.
A kick-off meeting commences this 6-month programme, and in this meeting an in-depth overview of the programme is provided and participants are assisted in establishing clear learning priorities, for themselves, and measurable outcomes.
NB: To achieve the above National Qualification the themes covered throughout this program are assessed against the unit standards outlined below. These unit standards may be adjusted to meet specific learner’s requirements.
